Privacy Policy

Effective: June 25, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Atsumura(“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use Atsumura (the “Service”). Atsumura is operated as a sole proprietorship based in San Antonio, Texas.

By using Atsumura, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Information from Discord (when you sign in)

When you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, global display name, avatar, and email address from Discord, in accordance with the permissions you grant during sign-in. We do not receive your Discord password.

Game data

We store data about your in-game activity, including your card collection, gem balance, purchase history, sets opened, login streaks, daily claims, profile customizations (display name, handle, avatar), and gameplay events necessary to operate the Service.

Purchase information

When you make a purchase, our payment processor Paddle collects your billing details (such as name, email, billing address, and payment method). We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We receive limited transaction metadata (such as the package purchased, transaction ID, and status) needed to deliver Virtual Items to your account.

Device and technical information

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, including IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URL, and timestamps. This is used for security, fraud prevention, and service reliability.

Communications

If you contact us by email or through Discord, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • authenticate you and manage your account;
  • deliver Virtual Items you purchase and maintain your in-game progress;
  • provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, cheating, and security incidents;
  • send transactional emails (such as purchase receipts);
  • analyze gameplay trends to balance and improve the Service;
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you signed up for and to fulfill purchases;
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Service, prevent fraud, and communicate with you;
  • Consent — where required, for optional processing such as marketing communications;
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law, including tax and accounting requirements.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

Service providers (sub-processors)

We share information with trusted third parties who help us operate the Service:

  • Discord — authentication (OAuth sign-in);
  • Paddle.com Market Limited — payment processing, tax, and merchant-of-record services;
  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication infrastructure;
  • Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.

These providers process your data only as needed to provide their services to us and are bound by appropriate contractual and security obligations.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Atsumura, our users, or others.

Business transfers

If Atsumura is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we may retain certain information for a limited period as required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes, after which it will be deleted or anonymized.

Purchase records are typically retained for at least 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • access a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
  • request portability of your information in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@atsumura.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

8. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including:

  • the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
  • the right to request deletion of your information;
  • the right to correct inaccurate information;
  • the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising);
  • the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@atsumura.com.

9. Children's privacy

Atsumura is intended for users who are at least 16 years old and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we specifically do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 16 without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.

If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@atsumura.com.

10. International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access Atsumura from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country.

Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect international transfers.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling certain cookies may affect your ability to use the Service.

12. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your Discord credentials secure.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and provide reasonable notice (for example, by posting a notice in the Service). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
